Under the Mother Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative, Save the Mothers wrapped up the first 5-day training of the Midwifery Mentorship and coaching project in Mityana District, which started on 28th May and ended on 1st June; with funding from Stronger Together. The workshop brought together 27 midwives from 9 health centers that subscribe to our Mother Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. The aim of the project is to train and support these midwives; this project stands out because it involves the four critical areas which are; midwifery clinical knowledge, skills, communication and leadership. Given this tools, with continued mentorship, we hope to increase midwives’ job satisfaction and in turn see an impact in the outcome of maternal and neonatal matters.
